At FMS we teach, model and practice good manners and the character and behavior traits that are important in developing good citizenship in school and community. Each grading period we select and award those students who best exemplify these traits daily in their class work and with their teachers and fellow students.
In Kindergarten through 8th Grade we emphasize a different character trait each month which includes a theme scripture. Our character theme and scripture are reinforced in assemblies and classes throughout each month. Class memory verses also reinforce each character theme.
We hope that these character building practices will provide the building blocks for success in life beyond academics.
